Adam has worked in the Experiential Travel trade for over 12 years.
After graduating from the University of Calgary’s Outdoor Pursuits program he worked as a guide and instructor for a number of organizations before obtaining a Master’s of Science Degree in Geology from Mississippi State University. Once he returned to Canada Adam returned to the adventure travel trade, again working as a senior guide and instructor for multiple tour operators. With a deep belief in the intrinsic value of experiential tourism, Adam has always endeavored to help develop the organisations with which he has worked – to grow partnerships, improve accessibility and image, develop and raise standards and improve the quality of customer experience.
In 2013, Adam became the owner of Canmore Cave Tours. Adam saw the great potential that existed in the company and as an avid caver, combined with a background in cave and karst geology, Canmore Cave Tours was a perfect fit for Adam’s career and business goals. In the three years since Adam purchased the company visitation has increased 43%, the Company received Destination Canada’s Signature Experience designation, and the company is ranked as the “Number 1 Thing to do” in the area on the premier peer-review website TripAdvisor, and consistently ranks in the Top 10 activities in the province.
Recognizing the vast potential that Experiential Tourism has to impact the lives of travelers, and the economies of communities and even countries, Adam continues to strive for excellence, both in his company and in the industry as a whole. As a small business owner it quickly became apparent that collaborating with like-minded partners would be the most effective means to see continued success and has devoted much of this time and energy to building a structure for collaboration within his community.
